Active credit card transfer bonuses right now
Each active transfer bonus lets you move transferable points from your credit card issuer's loyalty program into an airline's miles at a better-than-normal rate. The bonus percentage is calculated on the points you transfer — so a 25% bonus on 10,000 points gives you 12,500 miles instead of the standard 10,000, assuming the normal transfer ratio is 1:1. Since transfers are irreversible, it's worth knowing the favorable transfer ratios on offer before you commit.
Source Program | Destination Partner | Bonus | Effective Ratio | Expires |
American Express Membership Rewards | Flying Blue | 25% | Amex → 1,200 Flying Blue | June 30, 2026 |
Chase Ultimate Rewards | Marriott Bonvoy | 55% | Chase → 1,550 Marriott | June 30, 2026 |
American Express Membership Rewards | Marriott Bonvoy | 20% | Amex → 1,200 Marriott | June 30, 2026 |
Chase Ultimate Rewards | Virgin Atlantic Flying Club | 30% | 1,000 Chase → 1,300 Virgin Atlantic | July 14, 2026 |

Why transfer your Amex Membership Rewards points to Flying Blue right now
The bonus from Amex Membership Rewards to Flying Blue is worth acting on if you're looking to travel on Air France, KLM, or any of their partner airlines. Flying Blue delivers competitive award rates across its own metal and partner carriers alike. One standout feature: their Family program offers a 25% discount on Air France and KLM award tickets for children aged 2 to 11 traveling with an adult, a rare perk that can meaningfully stretch your points when traveling with kids.
Why transfer your Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club right now
The bonus from Chase Ultimate Rewards to Virgin Atlantic is worth acting on if you're booking a flight to London. Virgin Atlantic's dynamic pricing can deliver some of the lowest award rates, even in Upper Class. Taxes and fees run higher than average, but if non-stop service operates from your home airport, the value can absolutely be there.
When you search on point.me, we'll show you any relevant bonus transfers. This way, you can compare apples to apples and know exactly how many points each fare will cost. Join now.
Should you transfer? What to think through before you move points.
Transfers are irreversible. Once your Amex or Chase points move to an airline program, they don’t come back. That’s not a reason to avoid transferring — it’s a reason to be deliberate.
Transfer now if: You’ve found a specific flight on point.me, confirmed the award availability is live with the airline or loyalty program, and a transfer bonus is active for that program. That’s the ideal scenario. Do it.
Wait if: You don’t have a specific flight in mind. Holding transferable points in your credit card account keeps your options open across all transfer partners — airline and hotel partners alike.
One exception: If you frequently book with a specific airline program and feel confident you’ll use the miles within the next few weeks, an active transfer bonus of 25% or more may be worth acting on without a confirmed booking. Outside of that scenario, avoid speculative transfers — keep your points flexible until you’re ready to book a specific redemption.
Why speculative transfers almost always backfire
The value of a transferable currency is optionality. The moment you transfer, you surrender three forms of protection — and most travelers don’t think carefully about all three before hitting the button.
Expiration risk. Card programs don’t expire your points as long as your account is open. Many airline programs do, particularly those outside the United States. Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer miles expire on a hard three-year clock regardless of activity. Emirates Skywards miles expire on a similar hard schedule. No amount of partner activity, paid-flight credit, or additional transfers extends the clock once it starts. If life intervenes and your trip gets pushed or cancelled, those miles may quietly run out.
Devaluation risk. Airline programs change their award charts — sometimes overnight, often without notice. 100,000 miles that would have covered two business-class seats to Europe before a devaluation may only cover one after. A balance held in Amex Membership Rewards, Chase Ultimate Rewards, or Capital One Miles is insulated from any single program’s changes. Miles sitting in an airline account are not.
Availability risk. You can only redeem miles if award space exists on the route and dates you want. Some programs cap award inventory tightly; others use dynamic pricing, where inventory is technically always there but at prices that can spike to 500,000+ miles per ticket in worst cases. You can’t know today whether the exact seat you want will exist when you’re ready to book.
When does a speculative transfer actually make sense?
Two narrow cases. First, if you frequently redeem through a specific program — Air Canada Aeroplan, Flying Blue, Virgin Atlantic Flying Club — and a bonus to that program is running, topping up during the bonus usually pays for itself inside a year. Second, if you’re points-rich across multiple issuers (high six figures of transferable currency) and can afford to lock some capital into a specific program as a hedge. Most readers don’t sit in either category. For everyone else, wait until you’ve confirmed the seat.
point.me take
A 30% transfer bonus to a program you don’t understand is a worse deal than a 0% bonus to one you do. The bonus percentage is tempting, like any discount. The program is what actually matters. We see it constantly — people rush to transfer 50,000 Chase points to Virgin Atlantic because the bonus looks great, then realize they have no idea how to find Delta One availability or what a good redemption rate looks like. The bonus amplifies a good decision. It doesn’t rescue a bad one. Before you move a single point, search point.me and confirm the flight you want actually exists at the price you expect. If it does, a transfer bonus is a genuine gift. If it doesn’t, no percentage will save you.

Which programs offer the most active credit card transfer bonuses?
Not all major programs run transfer bonus offers at the same frequency. Based on the full dataset, American Express Membership Rewards and Citi ThankYou Rewards run transfer bonus offers more than any other bank point programs — with avianca lifemiles alone receiving nearly a dozen Amex bonuses over the tracked period. Chase Ultimate Rewards follows closely behind, while Capital One Miles runs offers less frequently but has shown up for key programs like JAL Mileage Bank and Virgin Atlantic. If catching current credit card transfer bonuses regularly is a goal, an Amex or Citi card gives you significantly better odds.
Flying Blue (Air France/KLM) receives credit card transfer bonuses from more programs more frequently than any other airline — bonused by Amex, Chase, Citi, Capital One, Bilt, and even Choice Rewards, making it the most universally supported destination in the dataset. Other programs worth watching include avianca lifemiles, Virgin Atlantic Flying Club, and British Airways Club, all of which see consistent activity across multiple sources. Less frequent but high-value programs — JAL Mileage Bank, Etihad Guest, Qatar Airways Privilege Club — tend to run strong offers when they do appear.
25% is among the most common transfer bonus amounts at the high end for traditional card programs, with 20% and 30% the most frequently recurring figures overall. A 30%+ offer is genuinely above average. Historically, bonuses from traditional card programs can reach 40–50%, with Citi ThankYou hitting 50% to Turkish Airlines Miles & Smiles and Amex reaching 40% to both Virgin Atlantic and British Airways. Bilt operates differently — occasionally running 100–150% credit card transfer bonuses for a single day on Rent Day, which are extraordinary by any measure but require fast action given their extremely short windows. New transfer bonus offers typically drop at the start of the calendar month and are usually publicly announced by each credit card issuer.
Airline transfer bonus: All-time highs by program
Credit card transfer bonuses to the same loyalty program can vary significantly — a 20% offer one quarter, a 40% offer the next. Here’s the highest bonus we’ve tracked to each of the most popular partners, which helps calibrate whether a current offer is worth acting on or worth waiting out.

What is each frequently bonused program actually good for?
The bonus list itself doesn’t answer the real question: which of these programs should you actually use? A 30% bonus to a program you don’t know how to redeem is just a discount on a currency you have no plan to spend. Here’s the one-liner on each of the airline programs that get bonused most often — from Jimmy Yoon, point.me’s Head of Points Intelligence.
Air Canada Aeroplan
One of the best all-around airline programs, period. Aeroplan’s value comes from two places: an enormous partner roster that includes unique non-Star Alliance partners like Emirates and Oman Air, and competitively low cash co-pays — Aeroplan doesn’t charge fuel surcharges on its own members’ redemptions. Particularly strong for long-haul business class between the U.S. and Europe, and one of the only practical ways to book long-haul Singapore Airlines awards, which KrisFlyer rarely releases to other partners. If you fly multiple times a year and Aeroplan is one of your regular programs, a bonus here is close to a no-brainer.
Flying Blue (Air France KLM)
The program we recommend most often when it gets bonused. Flying Blue uses dynamic pricing with a wide range — sometimes awards are as low as 50,000 miles in business class to Europe; sometimes they’re 500,000 — but when prices are reasonable, they’re very reasonable. Two use cases stand out: Virgin Atlantic award flights booked through Flying Blue often come with several hundred dollars lower taxes and fees per passenger than booking through Virgin directly, and Flying Blue offers genuinely competitive rates on domestic Delta flights inside the U.S.
Virgin Atlantic Flying Club
Valuable for both own-metal and partner redemptions. Flying Club miles offer solid pricing on Virgin Atlantic's own Upper Class — dynamic pricing means transatlantic business class can be had for around 35,000 points, though taxes and fees run high. A strong choice if London is your destination or a convenient stopover. On the partner side, Air France and KLM Economy flights are the standout redemptions. Availability is quite good for most of the year, even during peak travel months.
The Avios Family (British Airways, Iberia Plus, Qatar Privilege Club, Aer Lingus AerClub, and Finnair Plus)
These four programs all use the Avios currency and allow you to freely move points between them — subject to name-matching and account-seasoning rules (accounts generally need to be 30–60 days old with matching contact details). That cross-program flexibility is unique in the loyalty space and changes the math on every Avios bonus: a bonus into any one of the four effectively gives you access to all four. Qatar Privilege Club offers more Qsuite business-class availability to its own members than to partner programs — so it’s the best way to book Qatar’s award-winning business product. British Airways Executive Club opens up more availability on BA metal, which matters if you live near a London-served U.S. hub. Iberia Plus and Aer Lingus AerClub are strongest for transatlantic Europe redemptions from specific gateway cities.
avianca lifemiles
lifeMiles is a Star Alliance program with low taxes and fees on partner redemptions — similar to Aeroplan on that front. But because avianca regularly runs its own mileage sales where you can buy lifemiles at roughly the same effective rate a good transfer bonus achieves, we rarely recommend transferring unless your balance is genuinely flush. The trade-off: avianca’s customer service and cancellation policies are less forgiving than peer programs, which matters more in today’s environment of frequent schedule changes and cancellations.
Japan Airlines Mileage Bank, Aer Lingus AerClub, Qantas Frequent Flyer
Three programs that don’t bonus often but reward paying attention when they do. JAL Mileage Bank offers one of the best distance-based award charts for oneworld redemptions and one of the best ways of booking flights to/from Japan, as they release more availability to their own members. Aer Lingus AerClub offers a competitive award chart to Europe from the East Coast with low taxes, so it’s a great way to book travel to Europe if you’re price conscious. Qantas Frequent Flyer is one of the better ways to book oneworld partner awards, particularly on domestic US flights, when a connection is required between your origin and destination.
Do annual fees affect transfer bonus value?
Most cards with the richest transfer partners — and most frequent access to transfer bonus offers — carry annual fees. The Chase Sapphire Reserve runs $795/year. The Amex Platinum is $895/year. Chase Sapphire Preferred is $95/year and Citi Strata Premier is $95/year and still provides full access to transfer partners and any current credit card transfer active bonuses.
A single well-timed transfer bonus can meaningfully offset an annual fee. Transfer bonuses are one of the most concrete ways to measure whether a premium travel card is paying for itself — more so than points earned on eligible purchases or credits for streaming services, car rentals, or online groceries. For travelers newer to award travel, starting with a lower annual fee card and building toward a premium card as you get comfortable with the transfer process is often the right sequence.
Hotel programs and transfer bonuses
Most transfer bonus activity involves airline programs, but hotel programs occasionally appear as transfer partners. Marriott Bonvoy points, Hilton Honors, Wyndham Rewards, and programs affiliated with Leading Hotels of the World and Preferred Hotels appear as transfer options from some card issuers. However, hotel transfer ratios are generally less favorable than airline transfer ratios, and hotel-focused credit card transfer bonuses are rare. If you’re optimizing for flight redemptions — which is where the good value in award travel consistently lives — airline programs are where the meaningful bonus activity happens.
There is one narrow exception worth knowing about. American Express Membership Rewards to Hilton Honors already transfers at a 1:2 ratio, and when Amex runs a bonus on this transfer (historically up to 25%), the effective ratio gets high enough to make sense if you’re booking a specific Hilton stay you’re already committed to — particularly at aspirational properties like Conrad Maldives or Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos. Even then, an airline transfer will usually return more value per Amex point. The other case where a hotel transfer bonus can make sense: topping off a Hilton or Marriott account by a small amount to complete a specific booking, where the alternative is buying points outright at a worse effective rate.
If you’re not booking a specific stay or topping off for a specific redemption, a hotel transfer bonus is almost always a distraction. Keep the points flexible.
When do transfer bonuses typically drop?
Current credit card transfer bonus offers typically drop at the start of the calendar month. Mid-month launches happen, but they're less common — so the first few business days of each month are when it pays to check most closely. Bilt Rewards is the exception: Bilt's one-time bonus drops are announced for the first of every month.
Seasonality beyond the monthly cadence is less pronounced. September and October do show more activity in the historical data, but there's no consistent "fall surge" across issuers — the elevated count reflects a handful of programs running overlapping promotions, not a tide that lifts all boats. The most-bonused airline partners (Flying Blue, Virgin Atlantic, avianca lifemiles) keep relatively steady pacing across seasons, with offers appearing in nearly every quarter. The practical takeaway: don't hold out for a "better season" to catch a bonus you need. If an offer fits your redemption plan, act on it.
Frequently asked questions
What are current credit card transfer bonuses?
Current transfer bonuses are temporary promotions where credit card loyalty programs give you extra airline miles when you transfer points to a partner airline. As of June 24, 2026, current credit card transfer bonuses include:
Amex Membership Rewards to Flying Blue at 25% (Expires June 30)
Chase Ultimate Rewards to Marriott Bonvoy at 55% (Expires June 30)
Amex Membership Rewards to Marriott Bonvoy at 20% (Expires June 30)
Chase Ultimate Rewards to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club at 30% (Expires July 14)
Amex Membership Rewards to Hilton Honors at 20% (Expires July 14)
Citi ThankYou Rewards to Accor Live Limitless at 50% (Expires July 18)
Amex Membership Rewards to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club at 30% (Expires July 31)
What are current credit card transfer bonuses and how do I find them?
Active and current credit card transfer bonuses are live promotions running right now. The fastest way to find them is this page (updated continuously) or point.me, which flags active bonuses automatically when you search for a specific flight — so you always know the real point cost before you transfer.
What are previous credit card transfer bonuses worth knowing about?
Reviewing previous transfer bonuses helps you spot patterns: Flying Blue and Virgin Atlantic Flying Club get bonused most frequently, 20–30% is the most common range, and offers tend to drop at the start of each month. Bilt Rewards typically runs “up to 150%” promos on the first of every month, as a part of their Bilt Day.
Should I transfer points when there’s an active transfer bonus?
Only transfer if you have a specific flight in mind and have confirmed award availability — transfers are irreversible. The exception: if you frequently book with a particular program and expect to use the miles soon, a bonus of 25%+ may justify acting without a confirmed booking. Avoid speculative transfers otherwise.
Which credit card programs offer the most transfer bonuses?
American Express Membership Rewards and Chase Ultimate Rewards run transfer bonus offers far more often than Capital One Miles or Citi ThankYou — roughly twice as frequently over the past 12 months. If maximizing access to current credit card transfer bonuses is a goal, an Amex or Chase card gives you the best odds.
What is the most common transfer bonus amount?
20% is the most common transfer bonus amount, followed by 30%. Credit card transfer bonuses of 40–50% exist but are rare — a 30%+ offer is genuinely above average and worth acting on if the airline program fits your redemption plans.
Can I stack two transfer bonuses on the same transfer?
No. Transfer bonuses don’t stack. Each transfer is processed against the single active bonus that applies between the specific source program and specific destination partner at the moment your transfer posts. If two bonuses exist to the same partner from different source programs, they’re treated as separate offers on separate transfers.
How long does a typical transfer bonus last?
Most current credit card transfer bonuses run for a few weeks to a full month. Multi-month Flying Blue bonuses are fairly common. A small subset — particularly Bilt Rewards offers — run for only 24 to 48 hours, which is why it’s worth enabling issuer notifications if Bilt is one of your earning programs.
Are transfer bonuses targeted or available to everyone?
Nearly all current credit card transfer bonuses are available to every eligible cardholder of the source program — the ones listed on this page are universal offers. Occasional targeted bonuses do exist (certain Amex-to-Cathay Pacific or Citi-to-specific-partner promotions appear in some accounts and not others), but those are less common and usually show up in your card account’s offers section rather than on this page.
How do I actually make the transfer once I’ve decided to act?
Log into your card issuer’s rewards portal, select the destination partner, enter the number of points to transfer, and confirm. Most transfers to most partners are instant.
