Here's how it works, at a glance:

• Chase points transfer to 14 partners. That's 10 airlines across all three major alliances (Star Alliance, oneworld, SkyTeam), plus 4 hotel programs.

• Nearly every partner transfers at a 1:1 ratio, with a 1,000-point transfer minimum in mandatory 1,000-point increments. World of Hyatt is now the exception for some Chase cards.

• Most transfers are instant. Singapore KrisFlyer and Marriott Bonvoy can take up to about 72 hours, so don't leave those to the last minute.

• Get the best value for your points by transferring to World of Hyatt for hotels, or to United for Polaris if you hold the co-brand credit card. These two partners are among the best reasons to choose Chase. World of Hyatt is changing, though, and the ratio you get now depends on your card.

• Here's what your Chase points can't do. You can't directly book flights on American, Delta, or Alaska. There are ways to work around this.

Which airlines and hotels are Chase transfer partners?

Chase's transfer partners let you move Chase Ultimate Rewards points straight into your account with that partner. (You'll need to open an account with each partner before you transfer your Chase points.) Then you can book award travel at the partner program's rates. Chase has 14 direct partners, and points transfer to most of them at a 1:1 ratio. The value you get comes from the partner program you choose and the award you book. The sweet spots below show you where your points really stretch.

Hotel transfer partners

Chase points transfer to four hotel programs, but only one is really worth your points.

Important Note: Hyatt is still the strongest hotel transfer partner Chase offers, even after recent changes. Your ratio now depends on which card you hold. The Chase Sapphire Reserve and Sapphire Reserve for Business keep the 1:1 ratio, while the Sapphire Preferred and Ink Business Preferred move to a 4:3 ratio (the full schedule is in the Hyatt section). 

Marriott, IHG, and Wyndham awards are almost never worth it, so save your points for a partner where you can find better value. Transfer to those three only to top up an existing balance when you need a small number of points to complete an award.

What are the best Chase transfer partner sweet spots?

There's no single best Chase transfer partner. The honest answer is that it depends on who you are. A Hyatt loyalist, a United flyer, and a business-class-to-Europe traveler would each get a different answer. So instead of a ranking, here are specific strategies that produce real value, who each one is for, and the catches that can trip you up. Transfer Chase points to United for Polaris, but only if you have the co-brand credit card

The sweet spot: United Polaris business class to Europe, from around 65,000–70,000 points one-way vs. a $4,000–$7,000 cash fare.

Who it's for: Anyone who lives near a United hub, or whose heart is set on this upscale seat.

The catch: When you book inside United's own program, United restricts its Polaris saver space to its own credit card holders. There's a good way around this if you don't have a United card. Transfer Chase points to a Star Alliance partner like Air Canada Aeroplan, then book Polaris through Aeroplan on ANA, Lufthansa, Air Canada, and more. Aeroplan adds no fuel surcharges on partner awards.

Transfer Chase points to World of Hyatt, with a few caveats

The sweet spot: Category 1 to 3 properties for just a few thousand points per night vs. $150–$300 cash rates, plus those aspirational Park Hyatts when award space opens.

Who it's for: Families and anyone who wants real elite perks.

The catch: Hyatt moved to a five-tier seasonal pricing model in May 2026, and that pushed the dreamiest properties to as much as 75,000 points per night. At that price, the Chase portal can sometimes beat a transfer. The lasting wins are in the Category 1 to 3 hotels and the off-peak aspirational stays. A peak-season stay at a property like the Park Hyatt Tokyo is where the math stops working.

Chase is also changing the Hyatt transfer ratio, and the change depends on your card. New Chase Sapphire Preferred cardholders transfer Chase points to World of Hyatt at a 4:3 ratio if they applied on or after June 15, 2026. That means 1,000 Chase points become 750 Hyatt points. Existing Sapphire Preferred cardholders keep the 1:1 ratio through Sept. 30, 2026, then move to a 4:3 ratio on Oct. 1, 2026.

The Ink Business Preferred® follows the same schedule. New applicants on or after June 15, 2026 transfer at a 4:3 ratio, while existing cardholders keep the 1:1 ratio through Sept. 30, 2026 before moving to 4:3 on Oct. 1, 2026.

The bottom line: World of Hyatt is still an elite hotel program, but these changes mean the days of this transfer being a "no-brainer" are over unless you hold a card that keeps the full 1:1 ratio. Two cards do: the Chase Sapphire Reserve and Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business, which Chase says have no planned changes. If you really love Hyatt, the higher annual fee on a Reserve card might be worth it. And if you'd rather not pay for a premium Chase card, Bilt still transfers to Hyatt at the 1:1 ratio.

Transfer Chase points to Virgin Atlantic for London flights

The sweet spot: Some of the lowest pricing for London flights: economy from around 8,000 points, and Upper Class business from around 35,000 points each way.

Who it's for: Anyone flying to or through London, especially when a transfer bonus is running. Every issuer transfers to Virgin, so keep an eye out.

The catch: The UK's departure taxes and Virgin's fuel surcharges are significant, so budget $400–$700+ in fees on a business ticket. And the much-hyped ANA and Air New Zealand partner awards are mostly theoretical. That space is rarely available to book. As a rule of thumb, only use Virgin transfers for Virgin flights.

Transfer Chase points to Air France-KLM for business class on SkyTeam flights

The sweet spot: Transatlantic business-class flights on Air France or KLM. Flying Blue also offers the Delta One cabin with fewer taxes than Delta charges through Virgin.

Who it's for: Travelers headed to mainland Europe, and Delta flyers who can't book SkyMiles flights from Chase directly.

The catch: Flying Blue's monthly Promo Rewards can cut fares by 20–50%, so it's worth timing a transfer around them. You can't manage most bookings online, though. Plan to call, and don't transfer until you're sure a seat is available.

Transfer Chase points to British Airways Avios for business-class seats, a great deal for families

The sweet spot: British Airways releases a set number of business-class seats, up to four per flight, about 354 days out. For a family of four chasing business class to Europe, almost nothing else delivers.

Who it's for: Families and groups, and anyone flying nonstop from a smaller US city that British Airways serves.

The catch: Transatlantic British Airways flights can carry $400–$700+ in fuel surcharges one-way, and Avios gets more expensive when you book connecting flights. This program shines on nonstop trips.

Good to know: British Airways Avios can be combined with Iberia Plus and Aer Lingus AerClub, which are also Chase partners, so you can move points to whichever program offers the best deal.

Transfer Chase points to Singapore Airlines for premium cabins to Asia

The sweet spot: Premium-cabin awards to Asia on Singapore Airlines, including its aspirational Suites product.

Who it's for: Travelers heading to Asia who want a genuinely top-tier experience.

The catch: KrisFlyer imposes big fuel surcharges on its partner awards. A one-way business-class seat on Lufthansa, for example, can carry more than $1,000 in fees, so use KrisFlyer only for flights operated by Singapore Airlines. Remember the roughly 72-hour transfer time, and never move points to this program until you're sure the seat is bookable.

The fixed-value partners: Southwest and JetBlue

Two Chase partners simply don't play the sweet-spot game. If you want to transfer Chase points to Southwest or JetBlue, the math is straightforward. Both price their awards off the cash fare, so a point is worth a fairly fixed rate no matter when you book. That means you'll rarely find outsized value here, but you'll never get burned. And both transfer instantly at a 1:1 ratio.

Southwest earns its keep in two other ways. Every fare is refundable with no change fees, and its award seats can be booked with a Companion Pass, which lets a companion fly with you for just the cost of the taxes.

JetBlue is even simpler. It offers solid value on its own routes, especially from the northeastern US.

• Marriott, IHG, and Wyndham. Transfer points to these only to top up an existing balance, when you need a small number of points to complete an award booking. Transferring to these partners almost never maximizes the value of your points.

• Singapore KrisFlyer. Using KrisFlyer miles on Singapore's partners can carry $1,000+ in fuel surcharges. A Lufthansa business-class flight booked through Singapore is a classic offender. That's why you should only use KrisFlyer for Singapore flights. Never transfer your miles unless you know a seat is available, given the roughly 72-hour transfer lag.

• United Polaris without the co-brand credit card. If you're using United miles, Polaris award seats are available only to co-brand credit card holders. Without the card, book Polaris seats through Aeroplan partners instead. You'll usually pay less and skip the surcharges.

• Virgin Atlantic partner awards. Award space on ANA and Air New Zealand sounds amazing, but in reality it rarely opens up. Use Virgin points for flights on Virgin, not as a backdoor to Star Alliance awards.

Chase vs Bilt Rewards Transfer Partners

This isn't a Chase competitor at all. It is, however, another way to book Hyatt on points. After Chase's 4:3 ratio change, it's also the low-fee way to keep the 1:1 Hyatt ratio with no premium card required. It includes Alaska, and it earns points on rent, which nothing else does. Which Chase cards earn Ultimate Rewards points?

Just because your credit card earns Chase Ultimate Rewards points doesn't mean you can transfer those points to travel partners. The no-fee Freedom cards and the Ink Business Unlimited card earn Ultimate Rewards points, but it's the premium Chase Sapphire and Ink cards that unlock partner transfers. If you have both a no-fee Freedom card and a premium card, you can pool your points into a single balance and then transfer to partners. After the Hyatt change, a pooled balance transfers to Hyatt at the ratio of whichever card you send it from, so it pays to send it from a Reserve.
