The point.me verdict
The United Gateway℠ Card is the no-annual fee entry play, and rare for a no-annual fee airline card it rewards spend: put $10,000 on it in a calendar year and you unlock the MileagePlus card-member award discount on United-operated flights plus two checked-bag certificates. Earning is decent too, 5x on United and 2x on gas and transit. Don't expect the usual co-brand perks up front.
